Tracy wrote her first book in elementary school, a story about whales. Her love of research and writing lead her to study English education and law. As an attorney, Tracy worked as a child advocate to ensure equal access to justice for low-income families.

Tracy now lives outside of Chicago with her family and her two dogs. When she’s not busy writing children’s fiction, she’s trading book recommendations with her two kids who love reading almost as much as she does.
